These
two pictures from Mike Jordan came from BBC "Technical careers
in the Engineering Division" published in 1963.

The
pay scale on the left may well be familiar to some of us (!). The machine
is VT3 at Television Centre, and the engineer is Gordon Hughes who sadly
died in June 2003.
