It was apparent through most of the eighties that VT had outgrown its allotted space by a long way (it already had several outposts in other parts of TVC) and it really needed to be rehoused in a purpose designed area. However, it wasn't until 1991 that the move from the bowels of the earth began in earnest upstairs to Stage V, the new and final extension to TVC.
